Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh) has been honored as "Asia's Leading National Park in 2024" by the World Travel Awards.

This marks the sixth consecutive year, since 2019, that Cuc Phuong National Park has received this prestigious title.

With its natural forests on limestone mountains and its status as Viet Nam's first national park, Cuc Phuong is recognized as one of the country’s most effective public service units. The park has successfully utilized government investment resources as well as support from both domestic and international organizations.

With the guiding principle of leveraging adequate forest protection and biodiversity conservation as key assets for scientific research, forest environmental education, and ecotourism, Cuc Phuong National Park not only raises awareness but also significantly enhances community livelihoods. This approach contributes to rapid, green, and sustainable economic development.

The award further solidifies the appeal of ecotourism, a thriving sector in Viet Nam's national parks and conservation areas. It serves as a significant encouragement for Viet Nam's forestry management agencies to continue their strong progress, promoting the multi-functional role of forests. This recognition also presents a golden opportunity to showcase Viet Nam's natural beauty and tourism to the world.

Cuc Phuong National Park spans 22,408 hectares, encompassing 14 communes across 4 districts in 3 provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. The park is renowned for its tropical rainforests, which boast exceptional biodiversity. It is one of the country's biodiversity hotspots, home to numerous rare species of flora and fauna listed in Vietnam's Red Book.

In addition to its rich plant life, Cuc Phuong also hosts an extraordinarily diverse and unique animal population.
