10 years of successful launch of satellite VNREDSat-1
On May 16, the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology collaborated with the French Embassy in Viet Nam and Airbus Group to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the successful launch of VNREDSat-1 satellite – Viet Nam's first Earth observation satellite.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has sent a letter to local ministries and agencies with information on data and remote sensing image metadata SPOT 6/7 at 1.5m resolution and VNREDSat-1 data at resolution 2,5m in 2020 and the first 3 months of 2021.

In order to better understand tectonic seismic activities in the North of Viet Nam and the surrounding area, scientists from the Institute of Geophysics in collaboration with the Taiwan Institute of Earth Science (China) have just deployed into research project on deep structural characteristics and modern crust movement in the North of Viet Nam by wide band seismic data and continuous global satellite positioning system.
