The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has sent a letter to local ministries and agencies with information on data and remote sensing image metadata SPOT 6/7 at 1.5m resolution and VNREDSat-1 data at resolution 2,5m in 2020 and the first 3 months of 2021.

The above remote sensing photo is collected by the National Remote Sensing Department (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) at the national remote sensing image station managed and operated by this unit.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment proposes local ministries and branches wishing to exploit and use remote sensing data and send dispatches to the National Remote Sensing Department.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, remote sensing data is a high-tech product with great economic value and has an important role in national security and disaster prevention, so it needs to be stored systematically to facilitate management, exploitation and use.

The exploitation and use of national remote sensing data (image data collected from remote sensing satellites) shall comply with current law provisions and Decree No. 03/2019/ND- CP dated January 4, 2019 on remote sensing activities; It is the process of selecting, processing and interpreting necessary information from remote sensing data for specific uses. The exploitation and use of national remote sensing data must be for the right purposes, serving the State management, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, scientific research, training and natural disaster prevention.
