The Vietnam Department of Survey, Mapping and Geographic Information (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) in collaboration with the General Department of Cadastral Lands and Maps (Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of the Kingdom of Cambodia) has just finished the training course on GNSS technology under the project "Restore and complete the Cambodian national elevation network".

The manuals and sample data that will be used in the process of calculating the offsets have been transferred by the Vietnam Department of Survey, Mapping and Geographic Information of Vietnam to the technical staff of the Cambodian General Department of Cadastral Administration of Cadastry and Maps. Through this course, the two sides shared experiences and knowledge related to the use of RTK measuring devices, data transmission, measurement data processing, network calculation and correction.

The project "Restore and perfect the Cambodian National Altitude System" funded by the Government of Viet Nam since 2016 is considered an important project, helping to build a data platform to help the Government of Cambodia, managing land resources, urban planning, construction of large works, irrigation network, transport infrastructure. Up to now, the project has completed the construction items of the basic gravity grid, grades I, II, III and detailed gravity; build an additional grade I elevation network and measure the national leveling GPS network; establish a high-precision Geoid model for the territory of Cambodia.

However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Vietnam Department of Survey, Cartography and Geographic Information and the General Department of Cadastral and Map of Cambodia could not hold the handover ceremony directly. In order to promptly meet Cambodia's economic development needs, the Vietnam Department of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information has sent the project results in digital form to the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
